德伊木巫卡，一个曾在南投县赛德克族都达部落长大，但在高中毕业后选择离开部落的青年。尽管他自嘲自己是“城市里长大的孩子”，但当他回归到那片熟悉的土地时，他才真正意识到了根系对于个人的重要性。他说：“从哪里来，是很重要的。”

在德伊木重新学习古老语言和母语的过程中，爷爷成为了他的指南。“千百种语言，就有千百种看待生活的方式。”赛德克族特有的waya（灵律）不仅是一种音乐，更是对祖先智慧和价值观的一种体现。爷爷教会了他，山林的声音就是那种没有声音的声音，与自然和谐共存。

随着时间的流逝，德伊木将这些经历融入了他的表演艺术中。他以剧场叙事为概念制作专辑，将离乡背井、求学工作往返于城市与部落之间的情感编织成曲调，并以故乡山脉为灵感创作歌词。在一次回家的旅途中，他被一幕景象深刻印象：外婆站在原地，不断挥动着手臂，如同树木与整个山峦融为一体。这幅画面成了他最难忘且力量无限的心理支柱。

Deiuk's warm and soothing voice, combined with the meticulous production of a gold record team, has been further enhanced by the orchestral arrangement. The album was produced by Nei Lin, who also designed the music for the "Human Conditions" stage play series. With the help of producer Zeng Ren-yi and composer Hong Zulong on guitar and piano, as well as Van Tsung-pai on cello, this album presents a more complete and grand emotional landscape.

In an interview, Nei Lin mentioned that during the production of this album, he naturally thought back to his collaboration with Chamaq Faraway in preparing for their "Slope of Autumn Early Winter" concert. They used sounds collected from mountain forests as part of their performance. Therefore, they decided to use those same forest sounds at the beginning of each track.

This is an album about mountains, looking back at one's roots while still being on one's journey - like a letter written to one's hometown. Deiuk personally inscribes each CD with a serial number before packaging them himself. He hopes that when listeners receive these CDs not only will they hear the beauty of Sakizaya language but also embark on a journey through his melodies.
